How to diy a CNC milling part?

When machining parts with CNC machine tools, first of all, the machining information such as geometric data and process data of the workpiece must be woven into the NC machining program according to the specified code and format, which is the work instruction of CNC machine tools. The processing program is input into the numerical control system with appropriate methods. The numerical control system processes the data of the input processing program, outputs various information and instructions, controls the speed change, start-stop, feed direction, speed and displacement of the main motion of the machine tool, as well as other actions such as tool selection and exchange, the workpiece clamping and loosening, cooling and lubrication switch and so on, The tool, workpiece and other auxiliary devices work in strict accordance with the sequence, trajectory and parameters specified in the processing program. In order to ensure the accuracy of the relative position between the tool and the workpiece, the CNC machine tool is in the process of continuous calculation, output, feedback and other control.

The factors that affect the cutting parameters are as follows


1. Machine tool

The selection of cutting parameters must be within the range of main drive power, feed drive power and spindle speed. The rigidity of the machine tool workpiece system is an important factor to limit cutting parameters. The selection of cutting parameters makes the machine tool-workpiece system vibrate greatly. For CNC machine tools with good thermal stability, small thermal deformation and good rigidity, the cutting parameters can be increased appropriately.


2. Cutter

Tool material is another important factor affecting cutting parameters. The commonly used tool materials are high-speed steel, cemented carbide, ceramics and diamond. The performance of the diamond blade is the best, allowing high cutting speed, good wear resistance, high hardness, and little change of hardness with temperature. Most of the cutting tools used in CNC machine tools are grindable and replaceable blades (clamping blades). The material, shape and size of the clamping blades must be compatible with the cutting speed and feed rate in the program and stored in the tool parameters. 3. Workpieces

The material of the tworkpiece is different, the type of tool material and blade is also different. Attention should be paid to its machinability. The mark of excellent cutting performance: in high cutting speed, effective chip formation, less tool wear, good surface processing quality, using higher cutting speed, smaller back feed and feed, can obtain better surface roughness. Higher machining accuracy can be obtained by using reasonable constant cutting speed, smaller back feed and feed. In addition to the overall inspection of the first workpiece, the important dimensions of the workpiece should be inspected at intervals to control the wear of the tool and compensate the tool or replace the blade in time.


4. Coolant

The coolant has the function of cooling and draining the pin. Coolant can take away the heat generated in the cutting process, reduce the temperature rise of workpiece, tool, fixture and machine tool, reduce the friction and wear between tool and the workpiece, and improve the tool life and surface processing quality of the workpiece. The use of coolant can also increase the cutting parameters. The coolant must be changed regularly to prevent aging and corrosion of machine tool guide rails or other parts.
